NASHVILLE – March 13, 2024 – PickleJar Entertainment Group (OTC:NREG f/k/a NewRegen, Inc.), a leading Texas-based music and entertainment software company, announced it will host cast interviews and team coverage during the red carpet premiere of The Neon Highway on March 13 at The Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN which is set for theatrical release on March 15. This exclusive screening will include songwriters, recording artists, executives, and other industry professionals. Additionally, select segments of PickleJar’s red carpet coverage will be featured on PickleJar Up All Night with Patrick Thomas, in the PickleJar Live App and through select PickleJar distribution partners.

“The Neon Highway” stars Beau Bridges as Claude Allen, a waning country music great whose musical passion is reignited after a fateful encounter with an aspiring singer/songwriter, Wayne, played by Rob Mayes. Special appearances in the film include country legend, Pam Tillis, who plays herself, and Curb recording artist, Lee Brice, who plays Lamont Johnson. Other notable cast members include Sam Hennings, Sandra Lee-Oian Thomas, T.J. Power, Brett Gentile, and Ezekiel Bridges.

“This is such a powerful story of human connection, as the film highlights the continued struggle artists endure to bring their creativity to life,” said Kristian Barowsky, PickleJar’s president. “Over the last year, we have seen an accelerated cross-over application of our PickleJar Flix platform for filmmakers, and this movie truly underscores PickleJar’s commitment to our ‘Artist First’ mission. We are honored to work with the musicians, talent and the incredible team behind this film.”

The film, which is the newest production from Mountain Movies and will be distributed by Freestyle Releasing, was co-produced by Stratton Leopold (The Sum Of All Fears, Mission: Impossible III) and Lori Berlanga, alongside executive producers William Wages, Phillip Rob Bellury and Craig Miller. In addition, the film’s title track, “The Neon Highway” was written by Dallas Davidson (“I Don’t Dance,” “Crash My Party”) and performed by two-time ACM winner and GRAMMY and CMA nominee, Lee Brice.

Set 20 years ago, the film showcases Wayne (Mayes), an aspiring singer/songwriter, was a heartbeat away from making it in Nashville when a car accident derailed his ambitions. Now working a 9-5 job and struggling to support his family, Wayne has a fateful encounter with waning country music great Claude Allen (Bridges) who reignites Claude’s musical dreams. Together they go to Nashville with one of Wayne's songs, believing that with Claude's fame and contacts, they can make it big. The problem is the industry has changed and no one is interested in the song – or Claude. Devastated and out of options, Wayne creates a way to get the song out to the public; not for himself, but for Claude. Learn more about the film at theneonhighwaymovie.com.
